Training Content Specialist
Our client is looking for a Training Content Specialist to join their Columbus team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Customer Support, Professional Services, Sales, and Product teams, developing high-impact multimedia content that engages customers and helps teams deliver better and more efficient services and support.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and organizational skills combined with multi-media content production experience. You must be able to work closely with teams to develop appropriate educational curriculum for the software platform. You will become an expert in the industry, learn the software platform, and leverage other company experts to create videos, write documents, design graphics, and produce other training materials published as part of company products and used for customer implementations and support.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute training curriculum and content publishing calendar
  • Create and manage help content, including videos, setup documents, how-to usage documentation, configuration instructions, and more
  • Maintain a clear understanding of company’s educational goals, editing multiple types of media, from videos to documentation with consistency & quality
  • Create and report on relevant training KPIs, making regular recommendations for improvements to processes and tactics to help achieve goals
  • Continually research, evaluate, and offer recommendations for how to best produce educational content that meets company educational goals
 
Qualifications:
  • 4 - 5 years of experience, preferably training content development
  • Strong communication skills and creative ability – an adept communicator, with the ability to create compelling and easy to understand learning content
  • Experience with software help content including installation guides, setup and configuration documents, release notes, and other types of materials
  • Eye for design and experience with Camtasia or video editing, graphic design, videography, and photography would be a strong differentiator
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced office environment and the ability to adapt to rapidly evolving software industry
  • Proactive problem-solver who is self-motivated and able to maintain a high level of productivity autonomously
  • Ability to lead, create and work within cross-functional team environments
  • Attention to detail, with excellent organizational and project management abilities
